Understandably, expectations run rather high when anyone plans a vacation. Not only do you work your ass off to get that much-deserved vacation leave (and not leave work hanging) of even just a few days, you also save up for it. And needless to say, it doesn’t come cheap at all- more so if you plan a rather ambitious overseas trip with hotel stays and all that.

I can’t help but notice that this year isn’t a good year for Cebu Pacific. From the online stories alone just these past few weeks, I’d say there’s a lot going on that leaves a lot of customers not just unhappy- but irate enough to write about it and tell other people how bad their experiences were.

Cheftonio, a good friend of ours has pointed us to a blog that has all these free wi-fi spots listed out. The blog belongs to Vince L, who's taken time out to give us a quick roundup on a few places in and around Metro Manila where you can get an internet signal while working on your laptop.

  • Bo's Coffee in Serendra.
  • Burger King. At Glorietta, SM North Edsa 2/f Main Building and Marcos Highway near Sta. Lucia East, Welcome Rotonda in Q.C., and LTO Marikina
  • Cajun Burger along N.S. Amoranto Avenue (Retiro), Q.C.
  • Chili's in Greenbelt and Greenhills.
  • At CCW Restaurant, Dao St. cor. Guijo St. Makati
  • At De La Salle University (DLSU).
  • Dingo Systems at Citibank Eastwood.
  • At the FEU Morayta campus.
  • Fish & Co. in Shangri-la Mall and SM Mall of Asia.

Madison Street in Greenhills (supposedly you get the signal from Cooltoyz, which is right above it.)
  • at Texas Roadhouse Grill, both branches- the one in El Pueblo, and the other in Bonifacio High Street.
  • at TGIFriday's in Serendra, Glorietta, Sta. Lucia, Tomas Morato and Boracay.
  • at T.I.P.S. in front of Fatima Hospital/Fatima Medicine Building
  • Total Gas Station. At SLEX and near SM Sucat.
  • at TriNoma: Jollibee (at the ground level), Five Cows and Timezone.
